Out and About

Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru is the state’s capital and is located in the southern part of Johor. The city of Johor Bahru is Malaysia’s southern gateway. It receives 60 per cent of foreign tourists to Malaysia and is a major holiday and shopping destination for neighbouring Singaporeans, due to the interesting night markets and bargain prices.

Nightlife is exciting and mostly pub based. However, much of the social life revolves around Johor Bahru’s food, and as one of Malaysia’s main shopping destinations, Johor features both local and international designer products, souvenirs and antiques.
