KL What To Do

Eye On Malaysia

www.eyeonmalaysia.com.my

The ‘Eye on Malaysia’ is the largest portable wheel in the world, and the first overhanging a lake. It provides stunning views across Melaka, its new location since moving from KL. This astounding viewing wheel consists of 42 fully air-conditioned gondolas, 39 of which have the capacity to carry eight passengers.

Golden Triangle

Known as Kuala Lumpur’s commercial, shopping and entertainment hub, the Golden Triangle is actually a large area that encompasses a number of major streets. Three roads - Jalan Imbi, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Raja Chulan form a triangle that borders the entire Golden Triangle area. Here, towering scrapers, shopping malls and world-class hotels pierce the landscape. This is the place for fashion merchandise and accessories, IT products, designer brands and electronic goods. At night, the street turns into a walk where you can wine and dine al-fresco in modern cafes and restaurants.

Petaling Street/Chinatown

A great place for locals and tourist alike as there is an array of goods from clothes, fabrics, souvenirs, electronic items, watches and more goodies all at affordable prices. Bargain hunting can be tiring so load up on water and be warned the streets can get rather crowded.

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple

Jalan Tun H.S. Lee
50000 KL

The oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia, Sri Maha Mariamman was built in 1873 with intriguing designs like intricate carvings of Hindu deities, gold embellishments, precious stones and hand-painted motifs depicting stories from early Hinduism.

Sungai Tekala Recreational Forest

Sungai Tekala

This recreational park, with its waterfalls set amidst lush unspoiled forest, is a great weekend getaway and a popular picnic spot among the locals. The delightfully tranquil surroundings make Sungai Tekala a rewarding destination for city slickers.

Sunway Lagoon

www.sunway.com.my/lagoon

Malaysia’s premier theme park, Sunway Lagoon spans an area of 80 acres which has a host of added facilities and amenities to enhance your enjoyment. The thrills and spills offered are divided into three sections—the Wild Wild West, World of Adventure and Waters of Africa, a day out in Sunway Lagoon is a fun-filled encounter to remember!

Templer’s Park

Located just north of Kuala Lumpur lies an expansive area of forests and cascading waterfalls nestled beside the Serendah Forest Reserve and the landscaped Commonwealth Forest Park. Accommodation and camping facilities are provided for the adventurous.

Thean Hou Temple

Off Jalan Syed Putra
50460 KL

Located on top of Robson Hill, the Thean Hou Temple is one of the largest Chinese temples in South-East Asia. The decorative beams, spectacular roofs, domed ceiling, calligraphic couplets; murals and elaborate embellishments reflect the features of Chinese architectural beauty in Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur And Surrounds | It’s mine!
tip

The Mines Resort City was built, unsurprisingly, over what was once the world’s largest open cast tin mine. It now hosts an artificial lake and canal, hotel, shopping mall, beach and spa, waterpark, convention centre, resort and golf club and waterpark.
