When you arrive in Malaysia (provided you have not already pre-arranged transport to your home or hotel), obtain a ticket from the airport’s taxi counter. Often in KLIA, for example, you will be approached by touts who take advantage of the fact that you are likely to be unaware of the pricing system. Do not take on of these taxis as they are not legally allowed to pick up fares from the airport. Instead, pick up a ticket from the counter—this will be a fixed price.
